On October 17, 2025, Silanga National High School in Catbalogan, Samar, held “Panday-Isip: A Day of Mental Wellness”, a special initiative aimed at promoting mental health awareness, emotional resilience, and self-care among students.

The event engaged selected students in a series of interactive and meaningful activities designed to foster empathy, self-expression, and mental well-being.

Among the highlights were a Puppet Show on Bullying, which addressed the emotional impact of bullying and the importance of kindness; Storytelling Sessions that encouraged reflection and discussion around mental health themes; Counseling Sessions that provided safe spaces for students to speak openly with trained professionals; and a creative Art for Wellness activity where students expressed their emotions through drawing and painting.
Through “Panday-Isip,” students were empowered to prioritize their mental health and support one another in building a caring and emotionally healthy school environment
