Spearheaded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and in partnership with the Provincial Government of Samar through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, in close collaboration with the Provincial Youth, Education, and Sports Development Office (PYESDO), successfully conducted the 2nd ProtecTEEN Psychosocial Healing Session for 2026—further strengthening Samar’s commitment to addressing the complex challenges faced by adolescent mothers.

This initiative marks the second batch of beneficiaries for 2026—reflecting a sustained and intentional effort to provide safe spaces for healing, growth, and empowerment among young mothers aged 10–19.

Through meaningful psychosocial interventions, the program continues to raise awareness on preventing repeat pregnancy, break stigma, and equip participants with the emotional resilience and life skills needed to navigate their current realities with strength, dignity, and hope.

More than a program, ProtecTEEN is a movement—uniting government, communities, and partners in building a more compassionate, inclusive, and enabling environment where every young mother is seen, heard, supported, and empowered to rise.
