The Province of Samar proudly concluded its participation in the Central Philippines Travel Expo (CPTEx) 2025 with two awards: Best Eastern Visayas Showcase and Best CPTEx Booth. The event, held in Tacloban City, gathered key tourism players from Central and Eastern Visayas.

Samar’s booth highlighted its top destinations, including Sohoton Caves, Torpedo, Lulugayan Falls, and Samar Island Natural Park. Tourism officers actively engaged with tour operators, presenting curated travel packages and potentially selling Samar’s tourism products, with the goal of increasing tourist arrivals and forging new partnerships.

CPTEx provided a platform for local stakeholders to promote eco-cultural tourism and generate economic opportunities for communities. Samar’s recognition affirms its growing appeal as a sustainable and adventure-filled destination.
