
PINABACDAO, SAMAR – Governor Sharee Ann Tan, together with Pinabacdao Mayor Via Mabag, conducted an on-site inspection of the emerging Pinabacdao Mangrove Safari, a promising eco-tourism development that is set to become one of the province’s newest attractions.
The visit affirms the Provincial Government’s continuing efforts to expand Samar’s tourism portfolio through sustainable and community-based initiatives that highlight the province’s natural assets.



The Pinabacdao Mangrove Safari is envisioned to offer guided mangrove tours and immersive nature-based activities, allowing visitors to experience the rich biodiversity and serene environment of the town’s lush mangrove ecosystem. Once fully developed, the site is expected to provide both recreational and educational opportunities while promoting environmental awareness and conservation.
Governor Tan emphasized the importance of developing tourism destinations that are not only attractive but also sustainable, ensuring that natural resources are protected while generating livelihood opportunities for local communities.
Mayor Mabag likewise expressed strong support for the initiative, noting that the project will contribute to local economic growth and position Pinabacdao as an emerging eco-tourism hub in Samar.
The development of the Mangrove Safari is part of the broader tourism strategy of the province, where key destinations are interconnected to create a seamless visitor experience. The site is envisioned to be integrated into Spark Samar’s Tandaya Trail Tourism Circuit, offering travelers a more holistic journey across Samar’s diverse cultural, natural, and experiential attractions.
With its unique landscape and strong potential for eco-tourism, the Pinabacdao Mangrove Safari is poised to become a significant addition to Samar’s growing list of tourism destinations.
