Samar marked 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 ahead of the global date to raise HIV awareness. It brought together health leaders, partners, advocates, and youth groups at Tandaya Hall for discussions on safe practices, stigma reduction, PrEP and PEP, and the province’s six HIV treatment hubs.

A person living with HIV shared his journey of diagnosis and resilience, emphasizing the importance of early testing, responsible behavior, and family support. The event, themed “Take the Right Path: My Health, My Right!,” featured testing booths, awareness activities, and a community pledge affirming Samar’s commitment to ending stigma and making HIV services accessible to all.
