The Provincial Government of Samar, through the Provincial Tourism Office, successfully conducted a PAGTANAW Sectoral Focus Group Discussion under the Safeguarding the Sentinels of the Samar Seas: Conservation Project of Samar Fortification.

This session convened key stakeholders from  provincial government heads, local government units, people’s organizations, the local tourism council, the tourism officers and other community stakeholders to collaboratively discuss the preservation and conservation of the historic coastal fortifications of Samar—structures that have long stood as enduring sentinels along the province’s shores.
Through this focused dialogue, the Provincial Government takes a crucial step toward formulating a comprehensive heritage conservation plan anchored on multi-sectoral cooperation, cultural integrity, and long-term preservation goals.
