“The Provincial Government of Samar officially launches the Dancing Samar Legacy Program — a Department of Tourism–funded initiative implemented in collaboration with the Local Government Units of Calbayog and Calbiga and the Department of Education.
Under the artistic direction of renowned choreographer Douglas Nierras, this month-long dance education and cultural training program aims to gather over a hundred of participants per leg, including choreographers, dancers, teachers, and students , to celebrate local talent, cultural identity, and community pride.
The program will be conducted in Calbayog, Catbalogan, and Calbiga, culminating in a Grand Recital on November 22 in Catbalogan City.”
