The spirit of celebration fills the air as the Tandaya Festival kicks off this August 1. With this yearβs theme, βKusog han Samar, Pagkaurusa Kita,β the province comes together in joy and pride to honor its rich culture and heritage.
The celebration opened with a heartfelt Thanksgiving Mass, where provincial employees gathered to offer praise and worship to the Lord. The homily, centered on spiritual growth, served as a meaningful reminder to keep the people of Samar close in both prayer and service.
A vibrant motorcade rolled through the main streets of Catbalogan City, followed by an opening program that officially marked the start of this much-awaited festival.
In her welcome message, Provincial Administrator Fe Tan-Arcales said, βToday marks not just the beginning of a celebration, but a powerful expression of who we are as Samarnonsβproud, resilient, and united in spirit.
